Keurig B40 Brewer (Coffee Maker) in Action (in Singapore)

Keurig B40 Brewer (Coffee Maker) in Action (in Singapore) Tube. Duration : 1.38 Mins.

Shows how quickly and easily you can brew coffee with a K-Cup capsule coffee brewer. As this brewer was imported from the US, the voltage (110V, 50Hz) had to be transformed (to 240V, 60Hz) for use in Singapore. The wattage of the coffeemaker is 1500W so any power transformer 1500W and above can be used, Note the power transformer(blue box) to the left of the coffee maker. Details on my experience importing this to Singapore and other food related articles from a SIngaporean Perspective can be found at my blog: wtfsiah.blogspot.com

Does Starbucks Use Special a Type of Coffee Or Espresso Maker?

Starbucks is arguably the most famous cafe in the world. They are best known for the flavourful blend of coffee they make. Many people have been trying to imitate the taste of the coffee they are brewing but failed.

What is special about their coffee anyway? Do they really use special kinds of brewing gears to produce that great result?

The answer is, no they do not. What they are using are random commercial coffee and espresso machines. However, they have taken careful considerations on what features should be incorporated in the coffee machines they are buying. This is because they value the efficiency of their machines.

The flavour is in the whole mechanism of the coffee machine and also the barista. We know for a fact that espresso is a tricky beverage to make in the first place. It takes careful mixing and producing of the cream and careful timing to produce a smooth and flavourful result.

You can actually copy the taste in order to save yourself the additional expense of going to Starbucks everyday. Go look for an ideal coffee maker first. The market is pretty much replete with all sorts of brewers. It is advisable to get your own coffee machine and your own grinder. Nothing beats freshly ground coffee immediately brewed to perfection.

If you are looking for an espresso machine, you should consider how efficiently it really makes espresso. You might want to look for a machine assimilated with at least 9 bars of pressure as this will produce really smooth coffee and crema.

Make sure you also purchase the pump driven brewers. This type of machine is used by other cafes. You can check out Williams Sonoma as they also sell fully automatic machines.

You should also consider the brand of coffee beans you are buying. Starbucks made it easier for us to copy the flavour of the coffee they are brewing with their line of coffee grounds. The caveat is, they are generally more expensive than other gourmet coffee sold in the market. However, if you are using one cup coffee machines, this is a better choice.

Some machines allow you to tweak its settings. You can experiment a little with the amount of ground beans you are putting and the right machine strength. You should also purchase those machines with shower head as this extracts more flavour than those with none.

The Best Coffee Maker - A Free Coffee Maker?

When you think of what the idea of the perfect coffee maker do you think of one that cost hundreds of dollars? What do you think of when you think of that perfect cup of coffee? To me the concept of a free coffee maker sounds best because its - well, free. Stop and ask yourself what a 0 coffee pot can do for you that a cheaper free coffee pot can't do? Hopefully you answered; nothing.

I've seen hundreds of coffee pots and coffee maker deals that I simply cannot understand. The idea of a coffee pot costing hundreds of dollars to me just seems absurd. Don't get me wrong I understand that art of a classic espresso machine with all the bells and whistles. I also understand the concept of a french press coffee maker as it allows the coffee to become silky smooth. What I could never figure out is why someone would buy a coffee maker that costs hundreds of dollars outside the specialty pots. I mean what can an expensive regular coffee maker do that a regular free coffee maker couldn't?

The concept has been around for years, mark up sells. You might be asking, what do I mean? Its a precieved value and thats merely it. It is believed that a free coffee maker must be useless and cheap. The belief also holds true that an expensive coffee maker makes better coffee. Again barring specialty coffee makers, a coffee maker is simply a coffee maker. Whether free nor paid they both would achieve the same results. You pour the coffee into the coffee pot add water and brew the coffee withing 10 minutes as there is no difference.

We are taught at a young age about perceived value. Perhaps we've seen all the scams out there and are simply afraid that something labeled as free really isn't free. You may even feel that a free coffee maker is going to somehow be sub-par from the expensive ones. Could it be the design of a coffee maker that could be the draw? Look at Gevalia a company that has been around for years giving away a free coffee maker. Gevalia offers stainless steel coffee makers that match the look of the fancier expensive coffee pots. Or even look more recently to companies like Cafe Belmondo that bring value and a good coffee pot to the table free and have thousands of customers a year signing up to get theirs. No matter how you look at it a free coffee maker is just as useful as a expensive coffee maker. Besides in todays market everyone offers a refund if you don't like something you purchased - even if its free.

COFFEE MAKER, ROASTER, GRINDER, BREWER

COFFEE MAKER, ROASTER, GRINDER, BREWER Video Clips. Duration : 4.83 Mins.

Tom Metcalfe is a graduate of an internationally acclaimed product design course, his new Coffee Maker is for the discerning coffee lover who wants the perfect cup of coffee. The Coffee Maker makes a ceremony of the roasting, grinding and brewing of fresh green beans. The beans can be roasted to any degree of roast, to any personal taste. Theyre then ground by hand which ensures no damage to the bean. And then brewed in glass, which prevents calcification. Each stage maximises the potential of the raw ingredient to create the perfect cup of coffee.

I Have a Perfect Pod Coffee Maker!

If you are interested to know which brand is a perfect pod coffee maker, then you might first want to think about the definition of "perfect". In short, what is a perfect single serve coffee maker?

There are probably tons of definitions out there, but mine goes like this: As long as the pod coffee maker can brew many types of coffee blends, it would be perfect, don't you think so?

The single most daunting thing about single serve coffee maker is the closed system and their lack of coffee varieties. Pod coffee maker are already easy to use and are also very easy to clean, add in the element of variety, no coffee makers can match them in capability!

Just imagine owning a senseo, this machine is easy to use and maintain, which are great. Now, imagine having the ability to use any types of coffee that you fancy that is a very good thought right?

Unfortunately, till now, senseo is still a closed system like many other single serve coffee makers. Which means you would have to use douwe egberts if you are brewing coffee with a senseo.

There is however a machine that can mitigate this situation. It is known as the perfect pod maker. Its sole purpose is to make coffee pods that are applicable for coffee makers like senseo.

Rather than highlighting which brands would be able to use this great piece of machine, I would share which brands would not be able to use coffee pods from this perfect pod maker.

They are Nespresso, Keurig and Tassimo. This is mainly because these 3 companies are using their own special pods and not the standard coffee pods. So, other than these 3 brands of pod coffee maker, the rest of the brands theoretically have the ability to brew any coffee blends using the perfect pod maker.

And this pod maker similar to the single serves coffee maker concept, easy usage. All one need to do is to choose a coffee blend they like, and then filled it into the paper filter that is provided by the perfect pod maker.

The amount of coffee is really up to individual, but I would recommend a 8-10 grams for a strong and intense coffee. After filling the filter paper, simply press down this pod maker and wait for approximately 8 seconds and you would get a coffee pods that you can use.

There are not much things that you need to take note while using this perfect pod maker, although, it would be important to check that your coffee pods are properly sealed as any breakage (especially inside your coffee maker) could be disastrous.

For optimum taste, many users of the perfect pod maker feedback that it is better to wet the pods prior to inserting it into the single serve coffee maker, the feedback is that wetting the pods allows the hot water to seep better thus providing a better tasting coffee.

So, while this is not a pod coffee maker per se, this is a machine that can really better your coffee experience with a single serve coffee maker, right?

What is the Best Home Coffee Maker? See What the Public Thinks!

There are a lot of great home coffee makers on the market that offer excellent value for money. This can make it hard to choose when shopping around for a new unit, but the question arises over and over: "What is the best home coffee maker?" With some research it became clear to me that the most likely contender for that top position is the BUNN NHBX-B 10-Cup Home Coffee Brewer. That conclusion is based on the highest average consumer rating with the highest number of reviews. This unit receives and average rating of 4.5 stars out of 5, with hundreds of consumer reviews so that we can be certain that this is a statistically reliable rating. The consumer has spoken: the Bunn NHBX-B is the best!

One of the main things that customers love about this coffee maker is its brewing speed. Other coffee makers typically take 4-8 minutes to brew a cup of coffee, but this one delivers you a fresh pot in a mere 3 minutes. The way they achieve such an impressive speed is by having two distinct water tanks, one which you fill each time you brew, and another which is preheated and stays warm around the clock unless you set the machine to vacation mode. The second thing that aids the brewing speed is that a greater amount of water pours into the filter basket at one time. This is achieved through the use of tall, robust filters that can withstand the extra pressure of the greater amount of water.

There are some minor downsides to that speed of brewing. One of them is that the around-the-clock preheating of one of the water tanks uses a fair amount of electricity. You can turn off the around-the-clock heating, but then when you go to brew a pot of coffee it will take around 15 minutes to heat up. Perhaps a solution to this is to turn on the heating before you plan on brewing, then leave the heating on only for the portion of the day that you plan to brew multiple pots. The other minor downside relates to the taller, more robust filters used by this unit. Since special filters are required, you may need to order them online which could be an added expense, and possibly a time delay as well. But these downsides can be easily prepared for so that they don't have too much of an impact on your coffee experience.

The other thing that consumers love about the Bunn NHBX-B coffee maker is that it makes great-tasting coffee. The short 3-minute brewing time is perfect for getting the most flavour without bitterness. Longer brew cycles that expose the ground coffee for longer times, especially in excess of 6 minutes, cause a bitter taste through overextraction. The NHBX-B's short brewing time is ideal. Another factor aiding the taste of the brewed coffee is the machine's unique sprayhead design which applies the ideal amount of turbulence to suspend the coffee grinds, resulting in the even and thorough extraction of flavor.

With your average coffee maker in this price range, the water simply drips straight through the ground coffee without exposing it evenly to the water. This results in uneven flavor extraction. Luckily for consumers the Bunn NHBX-B does not have this problem. This is one of the main reasons that it is considered the best home coffee maker on the market.

Best Coffee Makers - Who Makes the Best Coffee Maker?

There are many home coffee makers in the market that are termed as the best but when you are looking for your own automatic coffee maker, the finest would be the one that has everything you wished for. A machine that would take the toil out of anything that bothers you in the morning or at any time of the day you want to indulge in a hot cup of coffee. However, it is not as simple as it seems. If you are going to take a look at the top machines, the features that are advertised are usually the most popular, the latest or the cheapest - things that may not have anything to do with what you need.

Single Serve Coffee Makers

In choosing home coffee makers then, you have to consider your personal circumstances and how the machine can make life easier for you. Although nobody would want a mediocre brew, the entire process of grinding the coffee and then dosing and tamping it is not really that appealing to everyone. Most people would just want a cup of freshly made coffee. For people who like brewing perfect coffee, an espresso maker would be the best coffee machine but for most folks, a simple single serve machine will do. Once you have the decided on what features make up the best home coffee makers, it is now time to turn your attention to the kind of machine to have.

Vacuum Device

The vacuum type may be lined up among the most traditional coffee machines that are on the market today. In fact, it is the first kind of automatic coffee machine that was made. Many people consider it as the best coffee maker of them all because it can produce a great tasting cup of coffee although it takes time to do it. If you are not the patient kind, the vacuum type is not for you no matter how good its features are.

Drip Coffee Machines

For most people, drip coffee machines may be the best home coffee makers since they are the most popular. The machine works by dripping coffee into a glass or stainless steel carafe, and one of the best brands that you could find in the market in this category is the Cuisinart coffee maker.

For a better tasting coffee a model that uses a water filter and a cone shaped coffee filter is best. The filters aid in taking away minerals and impurities that can affect the taste of your coffee.

French Press Coffee Machine

If your aim in your home machine is just the taste of your coffee, then you may want to consider the French press type. This kind of machine extracts the oil from grounded coffee, which accounts for the fine taste of every cup produced by it.

Who makes the best home coffee maker may forever be debated in some circles but for your personal consumption, you can take the above information for consideration. Not all the features that distinguish home coffee makers apart from each other are listed but there is enough information to allow you to make a wise buying decision.
