moka coffee maker 3/28/2012

moka coffee maker 3/28/2012 Tube. Duration : 1.43 Mins.

This is a moka double pot stovetop coffee maker. This was my THIRD attempt to make coffee using this thing. 1st attempt didn't have the rubber gasket in the correct position, all it did was send steam thru the coffee grounds... 2nd attempt, forgot to put the top coffee filter screen in! This spewed coffee AND coffee grounds up into the top pot! ALMOST THERE! 3rd time IS TRULY the charm! Put all the parts together correctly, made good coffee, really strong, can adjust the strength via the amount of coffee grounds used... I'd say this is in between an espresso and drip coffee. Is faster than making a full pot of coffee, but maybe slower than making a single or double espresso. Caution when using this type coffee maker due to the bottom of pot being BOILING hot when done. Can burn hands or counter top, just treat it like a tea pot and you'll be fine. This, and most, moka coffee makers such as this are usually made of ALUMINUM!... It has been proven that aluminum shouldn't be consumed or even come into contact w/ skin, google it, can cause alzheimers and things like this. Haven't noticed a stainless steel or ceramic coated iron moka coffee maker. That would be ideal, don't want pottery or glass due to danger when these types of materials are under pressure, etc... Hope you enjoyed watchin this great coffee percolate! T...
